Ray the man!

Just a nod to one of my favourite photographers and a leading light in the Dadaist movement, Man Ray. With a nmae like that, how could you go wrong?

oo la naranja

I bought a big bottle of orange ink and I'm not ashamed to use it!

waiting room

I've been inspired for a while now by the paintings of James G. Davis.  His works are mysterious, rather strange and filled with metaphorical meaning.  This is a collage homage to his vision.

Seashore

The first wave of lovely Spring weather has struck so thoughts start straying to long walks on the beach. Now just to find the time !

On a roll

Still experimenting with this overprint technique. A bit grey but I think the original looks better. What I like about it though is that one cannot control it very well and there are all sorts of haapy accidents if you look closely.

Vent

I recently found a bizarrely illustrated medical book for children at my local SPCA charity shop. Not much of a collage but what else could I do. Watch this space for more creepy pics soon.

bower bird

What makes this collage personal for me is that the dove that appears in it is no other than Sophie, the laughing dove that we found as a little bundle of fluff and who has now been part of our lives for the past two years.

a man was advancing

I make these little experiments as an envelope stuffer for when I send out mail. I used to send out postcards because I like the idea of the postal process accidentally adding to the image - cancellations, rain, scuffmarks and bits of collage falling off (not so good).  Lately I like to idea of sending all sorts of bits in an package, a mail art

kool

There is a group on IUOMA dedicated to mail art made from trash and found material. This is just a nod in that direction.
