French hen

This is one of a series of collages I did for the 9th International collage Exchange hosted by Dale Copeland in New Zealand. I decided to include a bit of drawing in each one to unify the series as a whole. I must admit some were more successful than others!

Found Art

This piece of artwork takes pride of place in my studio. It is in fact the side of a bus shelter that I "liberated" many years ago as part of my collection of signs. It is just so beautiful and bears the marks of generations of bored school kids who left their social commentary by defacing the sign.

Compass

Swirls

Most of my collages tend to be narrative in their content but this was a fun experiment in just working "in the moment" and not having a message to convey.

Migrant worker

This is one of the images I contributed to one of Dale Copeland's International Collage Exchange's. This is a great project and I encourage everyone to participate. Now I must just get my own act together. Check out http://outofsight.co.nz

Symbology

For me, one of the interesting things about collage is the relationship between objects or images in the composition. Meaning is often amplified by juxtaposition of disparate images to create a totally new message. Damn, my academic roots are showing, wasn't that just the most pretentious couple of sentences? Rather just look at the picture and think what you like !
