identity
An old collage from one of my collage books. These are done purely as experiments and I will trawl through them and pick out a couple more to post.

altered postcard
This is one of a series of altered postcards I did some time ago. Using a postcard of a Henri Rosseau jungle scene painting, I collaged pieces from a children's colouring book to create an even more surreal and strange image.

Tattooed Nude
This a collage done in collaboration with my pal Henri Matisse, father of the equally famous Bernice Matisse. I bought that funny little rubber stamp recently and it just seemed to fit the bill perfectly.

Bernice Matisse
This a reworked version of an earlier collage. Sometimes its a great challenge to see how one can develop an image beyond the point that you thought it was finished. Sometimes it works, sometimes its just fun to do.

Disturbia
This collage reflects my mood of the past few days. I suppose the doom and gloom and cold weather will all pass eventually.

cola
An old experiment in watercolour, a scrap of type from a wall, a bird clipped from a magazine and an old record sleeve - there it is.

Africa-do sul
I often try and include some sort of local flavour into my collages to reflect the fact that I live and work in Africa, even if it is at the very bottom of the continent. This is one of them.

60sstyle
I am often inspired by music and have just joined the music mail art group at IUOMA, the International Union of Mail Artists, so here is a piece of collage dedicated to all those rock groups of the sixties. Made while listening to Derek and the Dominoes.

Maxadelic
This collage was inspired by my love of Pop art, the Psychedelic posters of the 60s and a little "Peter Max" type figure I cut out of a magazine. The background was from an old overprinted sheet and the bright colours were fun to work with.
